I waited so long for my kisslock purse frames to get here.....& then I had to wait for a special order glue......& THEN I had to figure out how to make one....& that was the hard part! I already had all the fabric picked out & everything so once all my supplies arrived the experimenting began:) It was a little frustrating but with some patience & practice I finally came up with one. I love making these now even more than the little wristlets.
If anyone has any pointers or tips about setting up a booth at craft shows/markets/festivals PLEASE SHARE! I am new to this & I have been researching info about the Granville, Ohio Maker's Market. It is part of their Farmer's Market. It's in a small town & I think it would be great for starting out. Some friends & people I know from the town tell me it will be worth giving it a try. Any ideas?

Rainy Day

The weather isn't very pretty today so what better to do than spend the day inside sewing? (And studying, of course!) A few nights ago I got a cool idea for a new purse/bag & I just finished it up today. Here it is.....
I'm obsessed with these colors! I love brown so much....it goes good with everything! Stop back soon...I'll be uploading pics of a clutch I made with a kiss-lock purse-frame. I'm so excited about this because they are so cute & I've never made anything like it before. Just waiting for the glue to dry...

Busy Busy Busy....

It feels like it's been forever since I have been able to sew anything. I have been soooooo busy with school & I was out of town for the weekend so I had to catch up on all my sleep! I purchased a new sewing machine on Friday morning & that afternoon my fiance & I left for Arkansas so all weekend I thought about trying out my new machine! To make things even worse, we met his Mom & Sister @ Joann Fabrics to swap vehicles....yep I was jealous!
A few classmates purchased some bags & wristlet's from me & one in particular was meant to be a Mother's Day gift. She gave me a description of what her Mom likes which was hot pink & black & she loves butterflies. She wanted a small pouch to put her cell phone in too. This is what I came up with....what do you think?
Don't the butterfly appliques in the corner give it the perfect touch? This item is available in my Etsy Shop!

Oh The Joys of Studying:(

It is so beautiful outside today & I had a Dr.'s appointment this morning & since then I have been inside studying...yuck! It's way too hard to stay focused, I can't imagine what it's going to be like this Summer when we get the pool open...I will NEVER want to study! Needless to say, I haven't got much sewing done. Although, I do find myself at Joann Fabrics in between classes spending money I shouldn't be spending :) Well I guess it's back to studying...
